Custom Slug for language

Choose url of the languages.

To increase SEO, it would be perfect if we could choose the slug for each language. For example:

/contact
/contact
/contacter

Currently it is
/en/contact
/en/contact
/fr/contact

Do you plan to add this feature?

  Hi Jose,

  Can you help me understand your request better? How does changing the slug enhance the SEO potential of a page? Do you think a slug like /fr/contact has lower SEO potential? If so, why?

  I'll give you a better example, We have a page about rice recipes

  Currently

   

  /en/rice-recipes

  /es/rice-recipes

  /fr/rice-recipes

  /de/rice-recipes

   

  It's better for SEO:

   

  /rice-recipes

  /recetas-de-arroz

  /rice-recipes

  /reis-rezepte

   

  Slug translation is important for SEO as it identifies the content in each language, uses the keyword in each language, avoids duplication.

   

  It's understandable in each language and enhances the experience of the user who only understands one language. UX and SEO are closely related.
