What is the new Alert Element?
Hi guys,
Great update - just curious as to what the alert element does exactly? Would like to know more.
Thanks

Hi Chris,
Thank you for contacting us.
Alert messages can be used to notify the user about something special, like- danger, success, information or warning. The Alert Element offers four preset and one custom Alert Box for your website. These are useful for all sorts of situations. There is a General Alert, an Error Alert, a Success Alert, a Notice Alert, and the aforementioned Custom Alert. See here. Now you can add a sidenote or warning note with this alert box. Also, after the user will see the alert he can close it because there is a close button too.
Best regards, Nelea.

Hi Nelea,
Thanks for your response! Are there triggers for these alerts based on actions a user has taken on my website?
In what situation would I want to use the alert element for example as an error alert or success alert?

Hi Chris,
Please think of alerts as an additional means to notify your visitors about important announcements, promote seasonal offers or sales, ask for donations, etc. Brizy Alerts are not based on triggers.

Hey KC, thanks for your answer. The confusion came because the element can be created from scratch by making a new block, but I imagine the Alert element is made to speed up and simplify the design process?

Hi Chris,
Alert element is not made to speed up and simplify the design process but to provide an additional means of communicating. Let's look at few examples
- You want let website users know that "Halloween sales in ending at midnight" Instead of adding a banner ad, you can add an Alert for this communication.
- You want to tell visitors "Please leave a review for our product at Trust Pilot" Alert element can be an option to communicate this
- You want to say "Our website will be down for maintenance for 2 hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon Easter European Time" This can be done through the Alert element

Thanks for your response KC.
My confusion came from the fact that the Alert Element can be made by creating a new block and adding a background with text. That's cleared it up for me.
Thanks again.
