    Hi Connor,

We are sorry for this inconvenience. We had added the Search Engine Visibility feature in the first half of June 2022. We had also set this option to ON for all Brizy projects. For almost all past projects and all new projects this option must be ON by default unless you turn it OFF.

For some unforeseen reason, we must have missed setting it ON for your specific project. We apologize for this inconvenience. You can set it on for the entire project here.https://jmp.sh/q6ksH43 You can set it at page level here https://jmp.sh/9wcGeBR

    Hi KC George,

Thanks for the response. I ended up finding this issue on 4 separate projects, so it may not have been an isolated issue. It may be worth having other people check their own projects to make sure this is happening to them because being noindexed is obviously going to tank SEO rankings.

One thing to note - the sitewide Search Engine Visibility was turned ON for all projects (https://jmp.sh/q6ksH43), but for these 4 projects, the page level Search Engine Visibility was turned OFF. I did confirm that this resulted in these pages getting the code <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow"> added to each page (https://share.getcloudapp.com/4gurkWnz). So I just had to go in and turn the button ON for each individual page. But after doing this, the noindex code was removed. So we're hoping the SEO rankings for those projects recover somewhat quickly.

    Thanks,

    Connor

    Hi Connor,

Thanks for the update. When we had set Search Engine visibility option to ON for all Brizy projects, it was set at the project level. If you turn OFF this setting for a specific page, the page gets out of the search engine index. Some users have turned it OFF for 1 or 2 pages in their projects. Hence we did not override the page level setting for all users.

    Again sorry for the trouble.

Okay. I'm just saying that I did not turn the Search Engine Visibility OFF for any of my pages, that was just the default setting for those pages. And it wasn't 1 or 2 pages, it was the entire project (one project had 20+ pages where it was turned off automatically).

I understand that some things like this happen and I appreciate all of the new features you are releasing. In fact, this feature of being able to Noindex individual pages is super useful and I'm glad you implemented it!

I'm just saying this as more just a warning to anyone else who may have seen their rankings drop recently.

Thanks for the help! It was good to know when this feature was implemented for tracking/analytics purposes.

    Connor

Connor Olson is right. I had the same problem with multiple (older) project after this was added. I had to go project by project check and fix (if needed) multiple projects and pages :(
