Hi,

i am a PRO license holder and my question is about AMP for Cloud.

How can I make my websites AMP compatible?

    Hi,

    Unfortunately, at the moment we don't have compatibility with AMP but we plan to implement this. Now, we don't have an ETA for this feature but we will take it into a consideration. We plan to improve the optimization for mobile devices.

    I read other users questions about AMP over a year ago, and they got the same reply, which makes me think this is not in your priority list at all, which is concerning given the fact that AMP is absolutely crucial for websites that want to stay competitive. Not a good sign.

    If over a year ago you were giving the same answer regarding AMP that "it´s on our plans" or that "we are considering it" and a year later the same argument is gven, without any real ETA for deployment, my question is simple: what´s to be trusted really, in regards to your commitment to make Brizy Cloud AMP compatible? With actual data-info, can you answer that please?

    Brizy is falling behind some other web builders in the marketplace which have taken AMP very serious indeed.

    Hope you can really take AMP seriously, otherwise Brizy will soon be obsolete vs. other builders.

    Hi,

    Mobile optimization is an important feature and we plan to improve the optimization for mobile devices. At the same time, it isn't a simple feature and we need to improve and create other important features to create a stable base for this compatibility. Yes, at the moment we don't have an ETA or some concrete data-info but this doesn't mean we don't work and we don't investigate how to integrate this compatibility.

    Hello Brizy, 

    While I and many others understand that development takes time and that Brizy is hard at work with Brizy Cloud, there has been renewed interest with AMP pages in recent days with a new LTD offering on AppSumo named Swipe Pages. Although Google is still ranking mobile optimized sites pretty well, there does appear to be an advantage to AMP landing pages. Although Swipe Pages does seem to be a well developed AMP page builder, it is no Brizy in my opinion. I certainly do share the the passion of some on this community for progress with AMP compliance. Please do the best that you can to prioritize AMP sooner rather that later if possible.

    In the meantime, I strongly suggest to others to grab the AppSumo deal just to create landing pages, which it does very well then in cases where a more comprehensive website is required, provide on the AMP landing page to their Brizy Cloud or Brizy Wordpress site. Actually it may be better for surge campaigns to let Swipe Pages CDN servers handle the traffic spikes, close the sale when possible then only direct them to our main Brizy sites when applicable.

    This is a HUGE PROBLEM! I just paid $100 to your company just to find out the site I built can not be shown because you do not have AMP compatibility.  As I am researching a way to fix the problem I find that you have been requested by multiple users the same features. WELL... ITS 2 YEARS Later and... What do you advise I tell my client? 

    This is sad.

    We are not, in my opinion, working on AMP compatibility. It's not on our road map either. I apologise if you weren't aware of this earlier.

    Hi All,

    AMP is basically dead. While I agree with Chelsie that it was important a couple of years ago because of Google ranking factors, that all changed at the end of 2020 when the US Dept of Justice released the unredacted court document exposing the sinister motives for trying to force websites to publish AMP versions of their websites.  I strongly recommend that you read the court document released by DOJ here is the direct link to the document https://www.justice.gov/opa/press-release/file/1328941/download.

    This document while a little boring to read does explain the antitrust lawsuit very well complete with images of search results compared for amp vs non-amp sites.     When this became headline news in 2021, 17 of my 19 clients requesting AMP implementation canceled. The rest of the publishing world already ended their efforts as well. In a nutshell, Google was trying to create a private walled version of the internet in order to create a monopoly for advertising. Remember, AMP sites are copied, stored on Google servers, and served to browsers exclusively. This was an evil horrible virtual thug idea. Most website agencies and the creative world were very grateful to the US Dept of Justice for doing their jobs!

    So Chelsie, if you really have clients still asking for AMP pages, use this information to explain why creating mobile-optimized websites is the key, not AMP.  The world has moved on from AMP.

    Whether you agree or not is up to you, I have presented the facts so make your own choices, debating me or Brizy about whether this is right or wrong will be a waste of time and most likely a disservice to your clients.
