With Brizy Shop, you can sell physical goods, digital files, services, or resell products of other suppliers. You can also use drop-shipping if you want to run an online store but don't have your own products to sell.
Add New Products
Your Brizy Shop comes with a set of sample products. Delete the sample products before adding new ones by selecting the "Delete" icon next to each product.
To add a new product to your Brizy Shop, navigate to CMS > Products and click the "Add New Product" button at the bottom.
Add Basic Details
Enter the name, description, price, and other product details in the above screen.
- Name is the title of your product.
- Description is the information about your product. It emphasizes product advantages, lists its characteristics, or highlights product features. Include the most important information about the product to make it easier for customers to understand what you sell. Be creative with your product description, by adding paragraphs, bullet points, links, images, videos and collapsible blocks.
A YouTube/Vimeo video can be embedded as part of the product description. In the description editor, click the "Insert Video" icon and paste the YouTube/Vimeo URL. - SKU (short for “Stock Keeping Unit”) is the code that identifies the product within your business. You can use the product identification code provided by manufacturers or your own combinations of letters and numbers. You can make each SKU unique to track products. You can leave the SKU field empty.
- Weight is the product's actual weight. Leave this field empty if you sell digital products or services or if you don’t ship the product. For calculating the correct automatic shipping rates, enter the exact product weight including packaging.
Check the "Requires shipping or pickup" box under the Weight field if the product requires shipping. Uncheck this box, if you don’t ship a physical product - Pricing is the price of the product without the shipping/delivery costs. Depending on your tax setting, under CMS > Project Settings > Shop > Taxes, you will either see a "All prices include taxes" or "All prices do not include taxes" notification below your price.
If you click the Manage pricing options link below the price, you can see the "Compare to price", "Bulk discount", and "Pay what you want" settings. - "Compare to" price The original price for a product that is on sale. When you enter a "Compare to" price, the product displays a sale price and savings.
- Bulk discount mean tiered pricing for the product based on quantity. Discounts are applied immediately as soon as the quantity added to the cart changes. For example, a product costs $50, but if you buy five items, the price will be $45 each.
- Pay what you want is a pricing option that allows customers to name their own prices for products in your store. If you enable it, there will be an empty field on the product page where your customers can enter the price that they are ready to pay. You can set the minimum possible price (e.g., $44) for your product and provide price suggestions if you want to.
-
Product Availability can be enabled or disabled for each product. When disabled, your visitors would not see the product in your shop. Enable this option when you are ready to sell the specific product.
-
Stock control: Set the product quantity that you can sell online and set up low stock notifications. You can also choose the behavior for this product when it's out of stock. Out of stock product visibility options include hiding the product from the shop, showing the product on shop, and accepting pre-orders.
Add A Product Gallery
Images show customers what your products look like. Showcase various perspectives of the product, such as front, side, underneath, close-up, etc., so that customers see what they are buying in detail. The quality of your product images directly affects your ability to generate sales. Hence
- Each product image should be of uniform size and style across all products you sell.
- Use images of minimum width of 1000px. The larger the size, the better the quality of the image will be.
When you add multiple images to a product, the first uploaded image is considered the main — it shows as a product thumbnail on a category page and that's the first image shown on the product page. To change the main image, drag a different image to the first place. You can also sort the other images by dragging them. Customers will see images in the same order in your shop.
Alternative text allows you to describe images for search engines and visually impaired users. It also displays if the image fails to load. This way, alt texts help users decide on a purchase and improve your site ranking, making it easier to find your products via images online. By default, a product name is used as alt text for each product image. You can provide your own text instead.
If you sell products with options (such as color or size), add different images to different product options. You can do it by using product variations. A Pro plan is required to add product variations. You can add one image to each variation. If you want to show more images of a variation, just add them to the main product gallery (or within the description).
You can also add product videos by selecting the "Add Video" option at the top right if you have a Pro plan. In the product videos, you can demonstrate how to use a product, highlight its unique features, share customer reviews etc.
Assign a product category
If you have added product categories under CMS > Shop > Products > Categories, you can assign one or more categories to your product. To assign a category to your product, under the heading "Categories" click on "Manage Categories"
Then select the appropriate categories and click the "Apply" button to assign the category.
